The strings vibrated between my fingers
as I played the last chord in the progression.
My voice whispered the last note
"You asked for it".
No blues were played around these parts.
I glanced around the room
silently waiting for reaction.
When it's you alone, guitar and mic
it's good to finally hear the sound of your own voice.
Me with you and I alone
the songs still sweet
and the melody is damn strong.
Shit, you think I'll wait
for you to come along?
The band plays on
No need for backup, runner up
I'm the lead guitarist of my own life.
Author notes
life moves on
Any advice would be lovely?
