A well deserved Gold Jeannie. Mist always gives a special dimension. Love the pale fauve colour.

I can understand why you love this photo so much, its really calming and full of peace. Like a island in the midle of nowhere were you can come and just relax.
Also, I love the colors and its one of the few backgrounds that look good on my big screen.

Thank you for taking the time to make this and for entering, best of luck!

    This background is really intriguing.
It's like looking out or your window
into the foggy haze in the early morning.
I love the subtleness and the look of the
trees in the far background. It's amazing
how they just seem to almost fade away into
    the sky.

You have a knack for these beautiful
backgrounds my friend. I hope that you do well
with this one! Good luck to you and thanks for
sharing your talent with us all here!

The fade must be subtle - I don't notice it. Perhapse it's better for poetry because the contrast is lowered (probably) but I don't notice if it lacks the drama of the other piece, so that's a plus!
