Wounds

Darkness heals my open wounds
The flies do their war dance
On this playground of strife
Let the juices flow
In the cascading triumph of agony
Enjoy and bask in the glory
Soulful memories to taunt
Wandering miseries to haunt
Alone and bereft in a corner
Waiting for the right time
No light to guide
No guide to fight
Years come and years go
Nothing to hide nothing to show
A pallid face
Amidst mute disgrace
Life is not life if not lived
Death remains death fully alive

Please tell me what you think

    I am in awe

I am ashamed I left your words unread. WORDS live as long as someone reads.

A poem of sadness, but gladly received by your poetry friends...

Ah, our friend from India, we are privileged to read your splendid poem this day. Today's world is so oddly spent, the Queen of England has offered to take The United States back into her fold. lol Saw it in a funny email, actually.
