There grew a pumpkin in the patch
of garden out behind the thatch
roofed cottage with the iron latch.
I brought it in and carved it out
to made a Jack-o-lantern stout
but cannot find its whereabouts.
I wonder where my pumpkin went;
did it run off or was it meant
for something not of my intent?
I smell a fresh baked pumpkin pie -
I bet its taste would make you sigh!
If I don't get a piece, I'll die -
Oh my, is that a pumpkin cake
warm from the oven? Goodness sake,
my mother sure knows how to bake.

Oooooooh, so cuuute! I love, love, double love it! Its so cute and made me wonder what punkin taste like, not to speak of pie.
from what I understand, pie is a type of cake used to trow in people's faces and also your own...The punkin can't taste all that good when you just use it to trow it on others?
Best of luck!

Mom knows best, though Jack O Lanterns are cool.

Is really cute. And the mystery is solved. But I really loved the first 4 stanzas alone. You know I love spooky endings.
-
Perfect! As delicious as any pie.
