There will be no more pain
There will be no more suffering
And no more poverty
Money will have no meaning
As we approach the City limit sign reads
"Welcome to the city of Love Compassion and understanding"
Beautiful Angelic like creatures fly out to greet us
You are welcome new and valued citizens was their warm smile
The Great Gates were made beautiful polished wood studded with diamonds
We knocked and suddenly they opened
Our eyes took time to adjust
For brilliant colors like nothing we had ever seen before appeared
First we noticed the road , it was paved with pure gold
and the trees, magnificent glorious arms reached up to the azure sky
Some trees had colors that I just cant describe
and fruits so sweet you could smell their perfume with your mind
Lions played with gentle lambs as they frolicked on green pastures
Peter was there with us as our guide
To the left was the rain forest and pure crystal waterfalls
Creatures called and sang glorious praises to the Godhead
You almost hear their words for it was truly a song of pure delight
A delight of life abundant and safe forever
The air was invigorating and almost effervescent
Our eyes could see for miles what was before us and behind us at the same time...
And there it was...
My home just as I had envisioned it
Tall and proud, yet warm and friendly
Glass walls crystal beams light in all corners
Indoor plants grew upon Mosaic tapes-tied walls
in the centre a courtyard ... a full rain-forest for contemplation
Mahogany stairs lead to bedrooms...for myself and visiting guests
Also a small observatory ...for seeing the stars and beyond...
We were so happy...
but best of all..we had an audience with him... and all was complete
Our journeys of pain and suffering in silence had been worth it
Now we could explore the Universe

Very detailed. This is the second poem I've read out of a fair number that actually described heaven.
Thanks for really hitting the heart of the competition.
Blessings,
