I turn my face to the sky,
Eyes closed, barely breathing;
The sun is hidden by dark clouds.
I smell the copppery essence and
it lets me know it's almost here.
A brisk wind brushes past,
caressing my cheeks, tugging my hair.
I open my eyes just as the first drop
lands.
Cool and wet upon my chin.
