the ocean called me
and with all my crayons, corona bottles,
and stardust from my eyes.
I walked forward,
always hating myself with a contemptible passion
-I was too drawn in for my own good.
drawing pretty abstract pictures
of peace signs and hearts,
connecting as one in my dappled-gray notebook.
I didn’t recognize the similarity
between your eye-color
and the blue-green of the ocean spray
devious and cunning you managed to trick me more than once
into believing in you, in us.
and now even the goose-feathered pillow
lost its ability to make our dreams a reality,
and all that remains is a
deflated shell.

I lovelove that
except you don't need a dash in stardust, it's a real word
you are fuck-tastic. [okayy, so that's not a word but fuck it.]
