Can you smell that bitter sweetness?
The taste still lingers on my tongue,
Leaving me craving for more,
Although I don't like what I've done.
I hate myself like no one else can.
I use to want to be like this,
Have incredible powers unknown to humans,
And it happened with that regretable kiss.
My heart doesn't beat.
It shouldn't be able to, so it doesn't anymore,
I'm a beast, a monster, taking life from the inoccent,
Just to fulfill the deed to live some more.
But I don't want it.
I don't want to bear this curse any longer,
I want someone to kill me to get rid of this unbearable anguish,
that way I won't be better than the others, no longer stronger.
I'll be dead.
I'll burn in the fires of Hell,
unforgivable, unlikeable, forsaken,
please let me go, cast me into the neverending cell.
I want to go,
You'll make me go,
Or I'll make you go.

That first line caught my attention and held it, it was such a powerful play on words,
"Can you smell that bitter sweetness?"
Smelling the taste; wonderfully written, definitely the best line of the poem if you ask me!
Thanks for entering

we in the Lairs of Dragon hear your mighty call...
unto the Altars of honor we could deliver your soul!
