I went on a search for beauty,
on the earth I looked around,
out in the great outdoors
true beauty I had found.
It's not in a person's appearance
nor in the pets we keep,
it wasn't found in a dream
when I fell asleep.
The beauty came from God
in a most mysterious way,
it was in the growing flowers
and the nice things that we say.
I found beauty in the sunshine
that shone down upon the earth,
beauty is in true righteousness
and in the miracle of birth.
There is beauty in nature
and the kindness that we share,
I found that beauty was hiding
and some didn't see it there.
Beauty is in good memories,
times spent with a friend,
there are acts of beauty
in the ways that we defend.
Beauty is seen differently,
it may come as a surprise,
we are not able to see
through another person's eyes.

Bravo!
A very well done piece. The only thing I thought sounded awkward was the first stanza I personally would have wrote it "-around, in the great woods for true beauty to be found" Now that is my personal opinion I will not be hurt n the slightest by you not taking it. I really is just I hate the phrase "The great outdoors" I think it is really unjust to all the beauty out there somehow, any way I hope I helped S.I.
