Hiding behind the shadows of others
But these "role models" won't do
We have no one to follow

The blind leading the blind

So hard to be an individual
That we forgot the meaning entirely
People that we look up to
Shouldn't be acknowledged at all
It's so hard being a child in a world
That is chasing its own tail

in terms of an idea this is excellent. you have a strength and wisdom beyond your years. though at times you let things fall slightly flat without the images to pull it all together. "that we forgot the meaning entirely" could be instead "we wear the uniform of the non-conformist"

Awesome write Syd.. Like i said in my peace essay [the one we had to do for language arts a while ago]: our generation will be the one to either bring total peace to the nation, or complete destruction! Nice poem!

I am so ashamed of our scholars today that has truly robbed this country blind .I so hope the young of today can bring this country back for if we dont get the theives out then our country will be no more for every country in history was brought down by greed . I hope the younger generation learns something from this and changes their way to see this country stand proud again . You have the keys now how will you use them
