My Missing Muse

To wherever he may be,
this is to he.
He is my Muse.
His name unknown,
but I know him so. For,
He is my Muse.

Every word a fraud,
the whole thing flawed.
My writing died.
My passion had died,
my writing had been set aside.
I had died.

A twist in luck,
with this man I was stuck.
My writing partner.
Pure talent he had,
and wouldn't you know this lad
was my writing idol.

A cruel twist in fate,
that miserable date.
My muse vanished.
He left me alone,
my inspiration blown.
Left alone without my muse.

I can't be upset,
I'll always be in his debt.
The perfect writer.
Though I long for him to reappear.
His memory I'll always hold near.
The perfect partner.

Author notes

This is about a guy who I roleplayed with, SERIOUS roleplay.. nothing sexual or anything like that. He was honestly the greatest writer I had ever known. I went to email him one day and his email no longer existed. I will never forget him. He brought my character to life, and without him.. she would have never been more than that, a character.

I doubt I'll ever hear from him again, but if luck could strike me enough for him to find this. Matt, I really miss writing with you. You undoubtably were my favorite person to ever write with. No one could take your place. You have such incredible talent. I will never write for Arissa again unless you return. I really hope that day comes.

    I like the first stanza, specially the first two lines.
    But the second stanza was a bit clitch with the repeatation of 'died'. Anyway, I liked it and I hope you hear from him soon and he's alright wherever he might be, sometimes we meet people that leave such strong impact upon our hearts and it gets hard to forget them. Good luck in the contest!
