Lesser Hands

Missing image
Image Credit: Missing You

Tears meander peached cheeks
remembering the press of a careful touch;

heart longing to feel its breath again

filled with the passion of October roses
tossed carelessly mid holly greens

and ivy vines.

But white-moon nights live without
and there are no opal stepping stones to the past.

It is a wishful free fall in my sphere,
heart racing the climb of resilience,
rendering the trail empty;

finish line ahead.

Lesser hands will cradle
future memories,

hoping to touch yesterday
in the adventure of tomorrow.

    Interesting blend of the spirit on the avenues of time and the sensual imagery of the peach and tear, the reflection of the moon in opal stones. it felt a like a maudlin opening but quickly blossomed into a beautiful study of spirit and the power of memory. Enjoyed this.

    Peace & Light,
    Tom B.

    Mesmerizing...
    how you intertwine attributes of this druid spirit
    with the intensity of longing and succumbing.
    I admire the subtle echo of imagery of~
    climb, meander....white moon, opal. Blue

    The lines are full of yearning and sentimentality for those things that we have to let go of, those things that are seasonal and brief, as October roses, similar to letting go of life when our end is near. It's surely sad, but I love the reference to the past, present and future. I wondered about the lesser hands, whether it meant hands of the young or incapable, Our young ones do seem unconcerned about their heritage.
