arise thy wings of flight

Rise….rise tenderly

a-rise thy spirit

of passion and humble might.

Flames of heart

are but a breath away…

amidst the tears of night.

Fear not worry,

disappointment or dread,

cast forth your spirit beyond circumstance and doubt.

Clouds are but portals welcoming you home

unto the gracious heavens

safe and warm abode.

Rise..rise tenderly

a-rise thy spirit

of passion and humble might.

Spread forth your wings and soar gloriously this night.

Lovely, mystical, beautiful flow. I especially loved, "Clouds are but portals,/ which has so many possible interpretations. Creative and intriguing. I'm glad the "return the favor" dropped me here!

Very beautiful, dreamlike and inspirational, telling of not only at face value, the beauty of flight, but also the beauty of releasing your own soul from fear, doubt and trepidation.

    Good write.

What a lovely poem. I really love it. It was tender and touching. It spoke to the reader and made you stop and reread it again just for the beauty of the poem itself Thank you Flames for sharing this wonderful write

"cast forth your spirit beyond circumstance and doubt." This line was really beautiful when combined with the picture. I could imagine someone casting their spirit out across the wide twilit sea.
    "Fear not worry,
    disappointment or dread,"
I guess I liked the whole stanza (and the whole poem). It was very peaceful, much like the picture.

What passion you put into this piece...I can tell just through the words you used. They had me captivated. ^_^
Yes, this is definitely a great poem, whether the inspiration be a flying metaphor or true fantasy. Also a great musical artist to be inspired by...I've listened to plenty of Josh Groban. Awesome stuff. ^.^ And topped off with a beautiful picture and background? This is great beyond description for my imaginative mind.
Excellent work!! ^__^ Hope to read another soon.
