Forever Land

Forever,
At least,
that's what you told me
At least,
that's what I believed.
Forever.

Now it seems forever is a foggy land
Where no one can stand
true to their word, love, or faith
A land, where all time spent, goes to waste

Carressing my cheeks, so serene
Lips barely brushing, eyes brimming to the seam
Your touch like poison,
turning my veins black as sin.

I cannot escape your dance
I've lost my stance
I've entered this realm, this forever land
Where not even I can stand
true to my word, love, or faith
This cursed land, where all my time spent, goes to waste.

You twirled me away with dazzling words
Hiding the double edge to the sword
Were it not for your charming smile,
Were it not for your sudden guile
I would not be here in forever land.

Escape is not optional for me,
Forever is concrete, sealed tightly.
I may claw at the edges of the mirror,
but it does not change what others see.

So I waste my time,
lose my word, love, and faith.
I watch as life flies by
Listening to fate,
Here in this Forever Land.

Lay it on me :D
