I saw a child just the other day
So beaten and broken I could not turn away
When I asked what had happened she just turned around
Looking at her daddy with a sad sad frown
I saw the tears in her eyes as she walked away
I started to cry cause I didnt know what to say
I could not get her off my mind that night
There is nothing in the world that would make it right
So I decided that night to find a way
To help that child smile again someday
So with all the love in my broken heart
I beg you all to take a part
In helping me to put a smile in place
Of the frown on that pretty little face
