Another night,
another dream
of laughing faces
mocking words
various hues.
Then I see you.
Colors fade,
cruelty becomes silence,
laughter dies
memories vanish...
everything forgotten.
I begin to speak,
haltering at first,
then flawlessly.
Dreams, life,
my love for you,
fall endlessly from my lips.
With a single glance,
my calm shatters.
"HE DOESNT CARE"
I scream to myself.
Tears well,
light vanishes,
while turning to leave,
one word closes the distance
between us.
"Wait",
spoken softly,
it carries to where I stand.
Filled with joy,
we lean towards each other..
my eyes open.
It was just another dream.

I absolutely love the feel of this poem&how it starts with the blissfullness of being in love,
&From half way through, there's the brutal realisation of reality,
&from then on, the poem seems to get angrier, which is amazing, and really suits this contest well
Good luck
