not sure

don't do what you say, say what you do
i'm another year older yea i pulled through
not missing those nights held by candle light
hoping the future will turn out alright
all i can do is keep it true
with my feet on the ground
a self aware fool
chasing stars but afraid to be burnt
like love does turn cold in an instant
not forgotten just forgiven
let myself down again and again
still not low enough to land
running broke and hiding gold
still breathing for a dream of love
and a house of privacy
with no direction home

I've been here to. I can tell you it will get better, you think you're ready to move on but you're not sure.

  • I liked the ideas, but i didn't get through this poem well. The rhymes felt a bit forced in a flow that felt broken....like your emotions were as you wrote it i'm sure.

This is very interesting. A good snapshot of feeling. I like the line 'a self aware fool'. Very humble and yet, I dunno, not so humble. Well done
