The black night turned on its nocturnal lamp,
As he eased into his special chair.
The sky was quite misty that Eve and damp;
There was a north-Easterly nip in the air.
The pages of the book opened like a tomb,
And out crept a foul stench that stunk
Like dead dogs disintegrating in a room,
Or the refreshing smell of an alarming skunk;
From out of the bowels of hell jumped Skellator,
His bones rattling and clinking in the October air,
With a timid bow, began Skellator, the Narrator...
This horrific tale of an illicit affair.
A tale of love and despair
Between Hecate witch and Count Vamp.
How they danced like Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire,
Underneath the spotlight of a nocturnal lamp;
One night as Mistress Hecate combed her hair
One Halloween Eve like a posh tramp
She was blinded by a florescent glare.....
Falling in a swoon over the hypnotic stare of Count Vamp;
As under a spell they fell in love,
On that wonderful, magical Halloween
His fangs how they drooled, oh, Heavens above!
Her face flushed a fluorescent shade of green.
The night sky howled, 'oh, me, oh my!'
The black cats meowed at such a sight
The owls screeched under a velvet black sky
The Jack-O-lanterns grinned ever so bright;
On and on into the night
As witches flew over the October skies
The pair of spectacles caught everyone's sight...
They danced under the nocturnal Halloween lamp,
Mistress Hecate Witch and Count Vamp!
