When you stand in front of the mirror, you are the man you are. However the image peering back at you is the man you could be. An image of every feat you wish you will succeed.
As well as the image of the enemy inside you, ready to tear apart your dreams. A mans self doubt is as clear as the skin on his face. Although it may be imprinted in his minds eye that he may forever walk in place.
As we grow we are taught that we can rise above reproach. But some teach there children that they can’t rise above their status and can only hope. The self doubt is what kills us in the end.
The doubt that tells us that the next guy will succeed and we will fail to ascend. With all the set backs, that this life will throw. Your true enemy is in the mirror and he can be controlled.

I thought that this was quite powerful. I liked when you said ''Your true enemy is in the mirror and he can be controlled.'' that was my favourite part and it summed the poem up wuite nicely.good luck in the contest
