I am red and proud of it
I sit and grin in my pit
Of paper wrapper oh so neat
I’m a lovely candy treat
I don’t like green I kick him out
He is a lazy layabout
Yellow has a nasty streak
He’s a coward and he’s weak
Blue's ok and not so bad
White is pale and rather sad
Purple’s fine and ok too
I think I’ve covered every hue
I’m an angry little fellow
Red for anger don’t you follow
I wait patiently for you
To pick me out for you to chew
You can eat me at your will
Save me till last I‘ll be there still
I won’t surrender when you say
I don’t want red throw it away
I will lay there in the bin
Until the dustman puts me in
The big container with the crusher
It comes along and makes me musher
Even then I’m still around
For birds to peck at on the ground
Or even buried underground
I’m still proud to be around

I enjoyed the amazing imagery in your words. I love to watch all those m&m commercials on TV. I love the way they have their own personalities. They are also a favorite treat of my whole family. Thanks for sharing some humor with my contest.

I keep reading entries from this contest cause it looks like good fun! But when I read the entries I know that I wouldn't be able to write anything near this standard. I thought that this was very clever and it was fun to read.
Best of luck in the contest!
Take care
