I swear to hold sacred sword
lighting to His Magesty' grace,
true, and holy, I'll honor state,
defend the crown's glory and kingdom.

I will be courteous, honor my peers
of the Chivalry, of the laurel, pelican,
conduct myself in all the matters,
drawing my sword only for just cause.

    Okay, I give. Tell me, whatever does the pelican signify?
    I've no idea, and would love to. The laurel I get.
    The ending is lovely, I think.
