I'm still here

Don't cry for me for I am still here

I live in sunshine and the heaviest of rains

I see so much beauty missed in lonely eyes

as my soul continues to cry a river for your sorrow

Remember my love for you in those memories

and a smile will warm your coldest moments

I too miss the gentle hugs that gave me assurance

that there was always someone who truely loves me

I'll watch over you through the windows of tomorrow

until we walk that final journey together ...you & I

                                         Always remember "I love you pops"

 

Author notes

I wrote this thru the eyes of my son that passed away afew years back. I never gave much thought on his pos point of view-UNTIL NOW-He was 18 yrs old & he is missed so very much

    Adam lives in you and will always be with you, he is in every breath you take, every tear that falls from your eye, every beat of your heart... why?? Because even though we cannot see the ones we love they will be with us for eternity we all have our Guardian Angels and your beautiful son is one of yours.

    Adam is there in far more than memories. He's in every cell in your body. Why not, since you're his father?

    It may be I'm reading Adam; not only because he may be showing you something, but in a sense you are Adam. He was probably a mirror of your very soul. When you loved him, you loved yourself. I see only beauty in that, dear brother.

    I had to look at see what you've written lately. You've definitely grown as a poet and as a man. I see a very sensitive person here, and yet very strong, even if you don't see it.

    The pain you often feel is the Lord rubbing your spirit very firmly. He's bringing out quite a shine.

    Time has turned into three years, but feels like three minutes ago...the distance of time keeps on growing greater, and the gap will never stand still...but your love and memories do, they fill your heart to bursting point.

    This poem is so touching, Adam's love is flowing strong through your pen, and his words are precious...the title is just perfect for the message that follows
