have you ever looked into
the evening sky of early fall just before
the sun and his carriage of clouds
had disappeared behind the verdant hills?
somehow, the sky still radiates light blue,
though we think, dully, "it is gray."
and in an alchemical paradox, you may see the lavender sunset,
only to look to your left and see the white moon,
along with stars that seem to fit
in your open palm.
when you envision Spirit,
in the wind--He dances autumn's orange,
and spirals with the burnt yellows of the leaves.
so in forest solitude you whisper--
a thought only meant for nature to hear.

So much amazing beauty to be seen if we only look! Nature has its own special kind of beauty and I try to take in as much as I can.
