I'm done waiting...

I'm done waiting on something that isn't ever going to come true
Guys can never change and I'm finally done thinking about you
I'm sick of thinking this time you are actually coming back
But that's never the case, and it seems trust is what you lack

I'm sick and tired of crying myself to sleep every damn night
I finally see that me and you together will never be alright
There's no way in hell that you will ever change for me
And i guess now would be the perfect time to leave it be

I'm done hating myself for all the shit you always put me through
I keep thinking its my fault but this whole time its been you
Your the one that can't keep a promise, not even for me
When we are suppose to spend our lives together for eternity

You make me so fed up with everything, I can barely get to sleep
I keep telling myself, okay hes sorry and hes worth the keep
But now I'm starting to feel that its over, we are actually done
Because this whole time we been together, we barely have any fun

I know its suppose to be hard, and you have to work to stay together
But damn, we tried this before and now we can barely stand each other
I'm just questioning our relationship on how much longer we will last
Its hard to think about us in the future when i keep dwelling on the past

But I'm finally done with everything you keep putting me through
I can finally say, its going to be hard, but soon ill be over you
Ill be over every last hurtful thing you have ever made me feel
Ill be over you and maybe i could finally start to heal

This isn't just a goodbye for now, its good by forever
You might think ill be thinking of you,but i wont be never
This is it, i am finally done with you, I'm going to get through
This is the last time i will look/think of anything about you

    BECAUSE

I'm done waiting on something that isn't ever going to come true

    Don't know if I like this write. It seems like you're repeating the same thing over and over but it's clear that the emotion is very strong.

    I freaking love it! It's beautiful. I've been through it too. I love the emotion the flow. Everything is so lovely. I love it. It touched my heart and soul. After this contest, I'm so favoriting you. Awesome job. Good luck

    Wow! It's as if I wrote this myself. Some people will never change and as hard as it is we that love them have to let go. I feel your pain completely. Great write

    This is indeed a pained write of love being forsaken ... Many of us have been there sadly, and its not the men in general really, but the people we find - and how prepared they are for that forever craved. Love is hard work, and it has to go both ways.

    This piece has potential, and if it were to be 'spruced' up a bit as far as punctuation and certain words (like "Ill" = I'll); the poem itself would leave a greater effect. Thank you for your entry!

    i have felt this way in the past myself.
    so glad i don't feel this way anymore.
    it really is better to leave when you can no longer take anymore. don't stay with someone who only makes you sad. give it time and then find happiness in someone else.

    i like it, u write exelent poetry too i dont actually agree with your statement of guys wil never change for im completly different to any guy u might ever meet but well wat ever jaja, keep on writtin and btw i added u on msn to keep contact and share ideas and comments on poems more easily...

    great write, getting your feelings on paper. last two lines on the second to the last stanza are alittle weak, but you go girl, you deserve better. good luck in your contest.
