Lying upon a fluffy white cloud of mine,
far above Rain’s light encasement of Mother Earth.
Laying, stretched out, my pensive thoughts flutter.
Humming soft melodic tunes; they reach your ears and you sigh.
This sweet exhale draws me closer to your prominent presence.
Invisible and unseen, yet I still know you're there;
a lovely angel resting upon my Cloud Nine.
But alas unable to stay, you unwillingly depart.
My thoughts run far away, the rain pouring down to Earth;
This soft silver lining turns black.

Every cloud has a silver lining even if it is unintentional.
But alas you can't stay, you unwillingly go.

Woot. I love the ending. So sad and...Whoot!!! haha. Anyway. Like I said on your revised one this one is better because it is short and dark.
I like it. Because I'm short and dark... lol Um...dark on the inside...hehe :S Although I wouldn't mind being dark on the outside. All tanned and all.
Nice work on the poem.

Thanks(for the first half of the comment) but I didn't want to end it like that. I wanted to end it sweetly but it was a prompt contest. And my prompt was "Everything is all fine until the silver-lining upon cloud 9 is taken away." - J. M. Spenser (Quote)
