Reminding me of when
the eagles used to fly around
our verandah,
a kite would bring them down
So close you could almost touch
the pillows of those breasts,
You could almost reach out and touch
the downy soft brown crest
I used to fly a kite
from the porch was close to mine,
Curious birds they flew down
to see what else was flying
And then they had a baby
And then there were all three,
Reminds me of my younger years
and what they mean to me

Excellent
A fine write, indeed. Imagery, rhythm and rhyme are just fine. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Again, well done. -
I enjoyed reading this one it is interesting to me that the eagles would come to investigate the kite.
I imagine if I was an eagle I might want to see whom or what was flying in my territory as well.
I have a pair of hawks that live in the woods beside my condo.
