15 Years In September

All fifteen years of my twisted existence
Lived it all in September, in the midst of the business
I was on the offensive, this abyss was intensive
My whole life was condensed into destructive tenses
Everything I knew to be ended up senseless
I was livin, substistin without any pretenses

-[unfinished]-

Author notes

Jordan is writing a song called 15 Years In September. He asked me to write the hook (chorus) for it. I'm not doing that well so far. Any advice? The song is basically about September a few years ago, when he felt like his entire life had been condensed into that one month... it was the month of his sister's birthday, of this hookup with this chick, of his brother selling him out, of getting kicked out of his mom's house... mostly the specifics are covered in the verses; I just need a general hook

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!
