Inevitably I have time, time and more time on my hand.
Approximately fifteen years, so says my calculated plan.
More than this amount would make for a mere turn-off I think
or at least it would be filed somewhere where stuff stinks.
You see the plan is to eventually arrive whole and in tact.
To have in the very end some of the tasty this and that.
Although for now the gravy's with the tasteless entree'
I have the faith and courage to hold out for that day.
If we all get to eventually meet and blend down the road
it'll be because I held on while watching our paths unfold.
From distances that converge we come from so far apart
it's amazing that we even get to finally unite our hearts.

Well penned
You took a somewhat unique spin on the prompt, almost going with an indirect take on it
Very good
