Inherent
in the moon
the flow of music
the joy of melody
creativity to joyously embody

Inherent
in the soul
the search for truth
the quest for love
eyes trained on sky above

Inherent
in each day's breath
a longing for meaning
reaching to the past
connectivity to knowledge vast





Inherent
in the words
the rhythmic lilt
the crystal light glint
lines awaiting the sparking flint

Inherent
in poet of diamond light
named for the moon
blessed with life's glow
love to share in a grand tableau

Inherent
in friends of the moon
an uncommon bond
a pull toward the mystic
appreciation of a friend artistic

    but this is my absolute favourite part. You have captured me with words.I wanted to wait to comment till Blue had read and commented on all the pieces.

      could celebrate your spirit even more1

      The stanza you mention was the first,
      the words poured out quickly. But I
      then second guesed, and thought
      the first stanza should include
      the name of the Moon, ans thus
      reversed them.

    Indeed a fine tribute to our lunar friend...our lady-in-the-moon. It's great that you two are friends, that you talk on the phone and such, that is a special thing.

    A ray of light, precious as a diamond, I like that theme that carries from the poem and into the artwork.

    Good in the contest.

      Attempting to take my cue from Blue Rew
      with the contest title, "Lyric Diamonds
      in Lunar Dance" and to celebrate the
      Moon as I have come to know her.

      Seems I've been in a cloud/ray period
      for a while, but it relates, particularly
      to the light of the Moon, who lights the world
      with her smile and her words.

      Of course, the rays apply to you, too, Yem,
      as you share your wit and your friendship!

      It had been since last summer
      on her bday, when I had created
      lines and words for the Moon,
      so Blue Rew's contest is the
      perfect opportunity to join
      words with all the other
      Moon-lovers!

    You intertwine well her personality and gifts

    I love each bit of this poem.

    The 'repetition' of the image / picture is exciting. The words soft, but meaningful and place emphasis on what the heart is trying to convey. Excellently done. Frans
