Muslim Woman

What do you see
When you look at me
Do you see some one limited,
Or some one free?

All some people can do is just stare
Simply because they cant see my hair
Others think i am controled and unfashionable
They think i am limited and unliberated

They are so graetful they are not me
Because they would like to remain 'free'
Cheated and abused

They think i dont have a voice
They think being hood isnt my chioce
They think being hood makes me look caged
And my dad is totally outragous

All they can do is to look at me in fear
And in my eyes, there is  a tear

Not because i have been stared or made fun of
But because they are jeolouse
One day they will be out dated
And i remain fashionable

May be the guys wont think i am cutie
But at least i am filled with inner beauty
See i have daclined from being a guys toy
Because i wont let myself be controlled by a boy

Real men are able to apprecite my mind
And arent busy lookiong at my front and behind
I will be recognized because i am smart and bright
And some inspired by my sight

The smart ones are attracted by my trangulity
in their minds they wish they were me

You see i am not controlled by a miniskirt
Or ensalved bytight shirt

I am always given respect and never treated like dirt
So i am the free and librated
Not sexually terroized and violated

So what do you think about a muslim woman?

Last comments, dear, as it is FINALLY over! I LOVE the fact that you let us know, beyond ANY DOUBT, that you are more free in your faith than most women on this entire earth. I just needed to hear WHY and what it is that you believe to make this so? That was important to me, to hear the differences. Maybe some day you will fill-in the details for us? Thank you so much for entering and here are some clappies for you, my friend!

I really like this. I've never thought about the Muslim religion quite this way, but I'm glad I got to hear your side. Personally, I think it's a beautiful tradition. Thanks for entering my mom's contest! Good Luck!

I think THIS muslim woman has it all together - the right frame of mind, in asserting your power and freedom in what others may see as enslavement. Excellent voice! Thank you for entering! Debbie
