Every day it passes by,
but do we really think?
Of all the Men and Women,
who protect us,
who fight the battles,
In distance lands .
The loss of life is tragic,
as is those who are injured,
the scars last forever.
Turn on to the news at night,
a name revealed,
and a sad face cries,
loved one again is lost.
Its then I really begin to think,
wonder if its worth the fight,
then remember the reason for their chosen career,
to protect us all from harm.

I often wonder the same... is it worth the fight... perhaps if everybody thought that, there would be no fighting! Sigh.. can't see it ever happening though
