What Lies Beneath Truth

Mimicking the world to the extent
In which you will comprehend
To fool you and to please you
Whilst I hold this glass in my hands
Is this what you wished me to be?
As you taped my heart to my chest
And gave me what you refer to as life
Shuddering at the thought of being alone
Whilst the snow eats away at my skin
Shadows dancing upon my skin
As the chains grate across the floor
Swallowed by the void of pride
To be condemned to this life
Look me in the eye my savior
I'd like you to understand
For you seem to be oblivious
This skin you gave me continues to suffocate
As these fantasies erupt among my head
Watching you sit upon your throne
Laughing at my stupidity
I'll wear this miserable skin
For you are my savior and pride is my weakness
It has taken too long to forget
And even longer to relearn
For you are the puppeteer who knows
Exactly which string to pull
I will bow to you and hold my breath
And wait as this skin grows thorns
I'll choke on your answers and listen
For when I die you'll watch this skin die
And my wings will be visible once again
For this is the truth beneath my skin
It's exactly what you were afraid of
When you chained me to your will

Ouch. This is hot beyond hell. If hell were to exist beyond the imagination. What words expound such deep meaning. Every one in it's place put for a reason telling a story told of whatever it is to tell. A masterpiece of exquisite delight. Wonderful powerful meaningful mouthful. Well done.
