Autumn (1)

As the autumn leaves
appear
And change the scene we've had all
year
Just like a carpet made of
down
It’s strewn with nature's golden
gown

As on the meadow over
yonder
I gaze with awe and silent
wonder
On the boughs of dead dark
trees
Branches swaying in the
breeze

Never shedding brighter
gifts
In autumn glorious colours
shift
They flutter in the morning
light
And lay in mounds of hues so
bright

Soon the winter will
begin
To change the vision once
again

And so the seasons come and
go
But none will have the autumn
glow
