An Indecisive Moment (In Time)

I refuse to be
this wind-up doll.

Suspended in this
world of reality.

For my feet never
touch the ground, and
the hours are shitty.

Carlessly regarded
as a minimum-wage
worker.

For this is not
what I signed
up for, guarding
this beautiful,
yet remarkable creature.

As my house never fails
to mock me, because
I am chained to my duties.

Yet forever failing
to do so.

Yet refusing to be
willing to let go.

Jealousy by manips-of-artist2

Im taking this viewpoint upon the doll. I thought maybe the doll was meant to be guarding something, maybe the girl perhaps? Because i felt as if this girl had an emotional connection to the doll somehow.

Like i have with my blankets

And i figured it might have been a job that the doll might have signed up for (because it almost seemed as if this girl was in a state of emergency) expecting great wages and stuff like that (you know how it is when some jobs promise things but never deliver)

By looking at this picture i also looked at the house and saw that it was as if it almost had a smile on its face. I dont know why but it seemed almost sinister to me as if it was mocking. Like that was the doll's house but since the doll seems to have a big job its as if the doll doesn't have any time for it now.

And thus is really indecisive of whether she wants to quit or not.

*This picture tells a story nonetheless is what im trying to say here*

A very interesting take here. I can see exactly what you are saying, and would never have thought of it this way myself. I did have a little trouble with the last bit, both lines beginning with the word 'yet'. I found it a little distracting. But other than that an enjoyable read I enjoyed your AN to, nice to know people look at the picture closely Thanks for entering and good luck
