Bossie had gotten tired of being stuck on the dairy,
wasn’t right she gave all that milk
and only got hay in return.
People were turning it into all kinds of things,
cheese, yogurt, ice cream and even adding chocolate.
But did they share all the profit,
or bother to even say thank you?
From what she had seen they sometimes got so darn mean,
she knew a cow could do better
than all them nasty folks who always caused problems.
Time had come for the moo to be in charge,
make everyone relax and stop being so darn unfair.
Was all time to run for office and become the next president,
all she had to do was wait till the farmer left the gate opened,
then she would sneak over to his bedroom window
saw him operate that computer, could do the same for sure.
So when the time came, that is just what she did,
with a pencil held in her teeth,
she managed to start an internet election campaign,
Proved to be a better writing than she could have imagined,
envelopes full of contributions coming to the farmer’s house,
still hasn’t worked out what to do next,
but thinking of goat for her running mate.
And trying to check on finding some place
that she can rent a limousine
able to hold a cow,
since riding in style is always what politicians do.
