Always aspiring to be the one toyed with first
The frilly frocks and the knee high socks
Usually left at the bottom of the pile
Where no one can see how desperate I have become
Tomorrow I may be placed on your shelf;
Only to be taken down and disrobed according to your wants
A painted smile and artificial eyes
A mere shard of your childhood delusion

Very sad indeed but as my co-judge says very deep and powerful! Excellent write!

Such a sad piece. This has a few interpretations as I re-read, quite a deep and powerful piece. Portrayed some wonderful imagery. Thanks for entering and good luck

A sad piece you have written
Oh how often they are discarded and left upon a shelf collecting dust..
Best wishes

A really great interpretation... you've taken this beyond a simple picture and filled it with strong images and emotions... Well done and best of luck.
