filmstrip.

`

i try
to find what’s wrong
in that smile

because something has to be.

perfect streaks
leave you colorblind

blurry skies turn into
blue and whites.

& under that laugh, there’s fear.

`

i run to you
with nothing but my soul

exposed

like a film strip
to the sun on a windowsill

i will breathe life
into your still frames- things

even photographs lie about.

`

i will hold you.

until black nights
turn pure under our gaze

we lie, paralyzed
in a photo frame.

    ooo

The intensity is strong and it draws in the reader till the end, where it is a shock. The background colour is great and the spacing was subtle yet impactful.

The imagery is good but the relation to a photoframe is amazing.
