I kicked the leaves aside
as I walked down memory lane
beneath my huge umbrella
sipping sweet champagne.
All the colours were so bright
in my rainbow overhead
as I lay within my dreams
on that softest featherbed.
With my sweet champagne
I ate some oysters too
hoping that the waiter
would not misconstrue!
The feathers from my bed
floated round me like a cloud
I danced within their sway
though they were not very loud.
The waiter smiled at me
as I walked down memory lane
I ask you, do you think
from champagne I should abstain?

Cute poem. I like the rhyme. You did a great job.

well I agree that if these thoughts came from drinking the champaign then perhaps you should abstain.

NO! NO! NO!
Never stop drinking Champagne...it's so nice and the bubbles do the most amazing things to you
I loved your poem; it made me feel light and airy just like drinking a glass or two of the bubbly stuff would do.
Best wishes in the contest
