Tendersweet (in progress, on-edit version)

As (you?) I look into their eyes
and see the wholesome words,
but steal away to my mind, (your mind?)
do the truths become lies?

There's a change in me.
Something no one can touch--
I recall my life with warm sight.
I need to accept defeat.

Glory shines all around us.
It retreats into the hiding places (into hiding places...)
And I wonder about its radiance,
To it I give my trust.

Can we grasp the unknown peace?
Can we shed away (give away?) the suffering (our guarding face,?)
To move with clarity? (to get more clarity?)
And embrace it (the) tender sweet.

Please tell me what you think

It always amazes me how poets search themselves to find answers that we sometimes have no need to know their mystery.

There is an ambivalence to these words, almost as if you know but not for sure. A very interesting work of poetry you’ve written here poet. I love the third stanza.

    Much Love ♥
