Gypsy Queen

Gypsy Queen
Written on Jul 18 2004

All she asks for is the moon and stars
Offered to her freely, with open arms
In answer the ancient elements stir
To embrace her within a brilliant swirl

I watch her dancing there, veils flying
A smile beaming from her silken face
Etheric gray eyes glowing with a high
That only comes from Akasha's plain

From her lips comes chants in tongues
Language I'm sure I've never heard before
Pulling my spirit into the frenzied dance
Within a circle, on a hand painted floor

Within these moments, her power shows
Much greater than any I've ever known
And I wonder just what she sees in me
for I am nothing and she's a true queen

Tears spring from my eyes like rivers
From the beauty and magic she displays
Filling the whole house with her essence
Bringing a serenity that releases my pain

Walking steadily as the ritual completes
She comes to wrap me in her gentle arms
Whispering softly for me to never fear
To reach out for the moon and the stars

This poem reminds me of the queen in every woman if only she embraces her. I'm so many women that I can't keep track! .. and no, I'm not schizo. There is the woman we sometimes must be in this life to survive.. and then there is what I call the core woman. For me, this reminds me of the me that I don't listen to often enough.. the sage.. my ancient self.. the girl that listens to the wind.

The woven message I glean in reading this. Is as though this authoress
has found her self/her inner gypsy of sheer magic spirit that delivers
knowledgeable nirvana through a trusting practiced metaphysical
meditation. Traversing to that plain of Akasha leaves me envious.
It takes great power of will and an open minded spirit to do so.
Thanks for allowing us to tag along beside you to that place of no small
    wonders. Beautiful Scribe!

  • lots of great imagery here, i especially like the idea of a hand painted floor, i see artwork swirling beneath feet as the dance twirls the spirit.
