Our unsung heroes

In the stillness of day,
and the echoes of night,
our unsung heroes take,
their plight and lay,
down their life's for,
our peace and freedom.

In solemn silence some,
slumber never to awake,
from the battles they,
all for-take for our sake.

So as we acknowledge with
admiration to remember why
their courage and bravery
they take each day for all
our nations to evolve our
world with peace someday

Short but impacting; you wrote this well, and told the story of so many lives that are affected by all the wars throughout of history. Nice job, and best wishes
