the stars stunned me
the clearness of my vision
the milky way mapped before my startled eyes
Cassiopeia's triple crown blazing
in that still moment
I was an ancient traveler
finding direction after weeks of cloud filled skies
There! the pole star unmistakable
pointing me foreword, home
no longer lost , adrift in fog
but star sharp symmetry now guides me
elation overrides my foolish fears
as I step boldly on
location centered and now known

We always must know where we are to be able to get where we are going. Fog or star creates its own.
