There’s a hole in my heart
Where the darkness comes out,
And when I give in,
It comes with a shout.
Then hope from above
Is what I’ve heard,
Of the Son’s love,
I’m saved by the Word.
You have me to hold.
You won’t let go.
Your love makes me bold.
I want it to show.
There’s a hole in my heart
Where the light comes in
I’m out of the dark;
I’m born again.
The fires are behind,
The light’s ahead.
As You have been kind,
I have been led.
The King must come
For all to see.
Through this hole let the Son
Come through me.
