See the birds soar in the noon sky,
watch the river wend it's way.
Feel the cool breath of Autumn,
as she sends warm winds away.
Catch the sunlight as she dances,
cross the meadows silky green.
Dream in silence on a hillside,
of the things that might have been.
Close your eyes and feel the stillness,
as the day draws to an end.
Shadows creeping without causing,
not a blade of grass to bend.
All around you in the twilight,
shades of night are drawing nigh.
While in heaven gently peeping,
shine the diamonds of the sky.
Peace you'll find here, in the moment,
It can never pass again.
Savour life and all it's beauty,
Till the last leaf meets its end.

Like the leaves...
that fall, so are the days of our lives, live them and love them for they are all we have...quite so my friend, your words bring a serene calmness to the turmoil of the way the world has become...makes me wanna sit back in my rockin chair and watch my troubles float off into the air...in the beginning there was only nature, what have we done with it...
nice refreshing poem, thanks for sharing Mal

Hi John, when all the madness of this world hangs heavy on your heart, Somehow Mother nature sooths the troubled brow and returns us to the important things in life...You know what I mean my friend.. Bless you ...mal
