"Get rid of him!" my mother said
when she saw him in my bed...
Simeon, a python snake
is with me while I am awake
and when I'm sleeping, aye, as well
for my companion is from Hell.
He twists around my bedpost tall
and watches me get dressed and all
then follows me to eat my meal
Oh yes, I know that he is real.
I know this daemon reads my mail
his darkened powers never fail
for if he does not like my friends
his body twists and turns and bends.
He comes along where e'er I go
and can be fast or very slow
depending on his wily mood
and what I take along as food.
Simeon, my daemon snake
is next to me asleep, awake
and maybe he might bring me luck...
but anyway, with him I'm stuck.
I know Mum said that he must go,
but I've learned to love him so.

Very well written and very funny, I do not like snakes much myself but he sounds a fun friend anyway. Great rhyming and captivating write, thanks for entering.
