God I pray to you

sitting here thinking about life
where my life may take me
where I may want to go

the only thing that comes to thought
is that of the very thing I am missing
love is what that is

the very lonely feeling
all I want is to be held

as you come crawling back into my thoughts
your only one of two people I have ever loved
with such great intensity

and I sit here praying that you will be brought
back to me to fulfill my heart again

I only continue to realize that I still love you
that I will always love you and that my love
for you will never fade

God I pray to you to bring us back together
to allow us to be ready for the complexity
that our relationship would be

God I pray to you to make me stronger
in the wait for his love to be back
in my heart and belonging to me

to make this the happiest life

you decide we are ready, it will not
