Ya know, I trained for the Olympics,
But Phelps beat me out of contention.
So,.I ask you, what's he got, I don't?
I trained hard, did I happen to mention?
In fact, he learned technique from me,
I aced the doggie paddle, or was it kitty paddle?
None the less, the bumble bee stroke was mine,
And guess who gets the gold medal?
I tell ya, he laughed at me at practice,
When the huge bee chased me into the water.
But when it stung him, on the derriere,
he flew into the water, breaking records ever after.
Now who should get the credit, I ask ya?
Everything is Phelps this, Phelps that,....
Ya don't see my picture on the box of Wheaties,
No-o-o,...who wants to see the cat?
But let me tell you this,.....
Next time he puts that silly cap on?
I'm not telling him it was really a thong,
Not me, no sirree, I'm nobodies pawn!
And, oh by the way,...............
I've been under the weather lately,
so I can't compete....................
