your voice carries across
an empty atmosphere
and fills every tangible
doubt with something
more potent then
in love can describe
all the lines that I can mold
and weave
sound so cliché
vacant
against the beating
of our hearts
as one unit
two trees
who’s roots
intertwined,
held solid hands beneath
the unchangeable earth,
seized each other close
while our branches
were torn to bits
by the lessons
that tried to change
the fact that
you and I
we
will never divide
and always conquer
every hole
ever left in this simple
hopeless heart of mine
is dissolved by
the sound of your
smile
breathless,
you leave me whole
and with grins
that consume
every part
of who I am
speechless,
I am complete
and mended
ready to give my life
my breath
to keep my promise
of forever
we fit together
two sides
of a broken heart
reunited
at long last
and suddenly,
you’ve done it all
touched every dark
place and gave them light
sewed every wound
and gave them relief
kissed every ruined dream
and gave them life
we will tell our children
of this love
when we are old and gray
we will build something beautiful
from the ground that no one
ever believed could hold
such wonders
as long as there is a you
and a me
and we are together
the way it’s meant to be
the timing will never be wrong
and the distance will never be too great
and the fight will always be worth it
as long as you’re at the end of the race
we were formed
from the same clay
constructed
by the same
hands so that
we would
fasten together
the way we do
quietly,
we have out smarted
the challenge of love
and given our own
meaning to
the sky, the sand,
and the stars
our souls
are made pure
by this thing that
God created for the two of us
we’ll make the
fairy tales jealous
as we will cast
our names into
every great
beginning
and this
is where
we are meant to be.
Author notes
It's no where near perfect enough.
It doesn't even begin to cover how perfect it feel to be with him.
So, this is what completeness feels like?

all the lines that I can mold
and weave
sound so cliché
oddly enough this is far from cliche and flows in melody.
breathless,
you leave me whole
and with grins
that consume
every part
of who I am
i've had this once and can relate to this in a complete hold to chest and over head.
and as i read through i can tell this is definately for a specific person. place in heart. well written. not too long and not too shabby for the love poems i usually stay away from.

You have no idea to how happy I am for you.
If he breaks your heart, which I'm sure he won't, but if he does, I'm saving my money, I'll fly to come get you, then we'll go find him and shove a red hot poker up his ass.
:]
Poem wise:
There are a lot of lines and stanzas that are my favorite. I adore the ending and I really like :
"you’ve done it all
touched every dark
place and gave them light
sewed every wound
and gave them relief
kissed every ruined dream
and gave them life"
Amazing.
I love you snugglebunny <3

Oh my gosh!
This is beautiful.
I can't even explain how I feel about this.
I feel as though - in love - doesn't come close to explaining what love feels like, and I think you explain that perfectly in this piece.
I love the lines:
two trees
who’s roots
intertwined,
such beautiful imagery.
Well done, an excellent poem and one I truly enjoyed reading.
