There was a time
in the not so distant past
when life was simple.
When it was just
you and I
against the world.
We were much stronger then.
However, as you know
life happens.
Work becomes more demanding,
children are born,
emotions change.
It's not like we meant
for all this to happen.
It just did.
We had no warnings either.
One morning I just woke up
and knew
that things were different between us.
But I just want to let you know
that there will always
be a very special place
in my heart for you.
A place where no one
else can enter.
I also, wanted you to know
that you were my first.
My first love
as well as my first heart-break.
