The World Of Wait.

you sit in the shadow of falling leaves
that like your dreams seem to float
breathing hope into tired lungs
like the fresh autumn air.

and it is there that you wait
shivering in the crisp coolness
of this new season and
of these new realizations

Because like pink silk leaves
that now swoop and drop to the grass
your dreams have lost their wind
and on this bench you wait

for your world to restart
and new dreams ease in to place
when the voids of loss are filled
with the shining light of love

then you will move on
leave this world of wait and cold.
Of everchanging but always the same
and move into sweet blissful chaos.

This is beautiful!!!! My favorite lines are "breathing hope into tired lungs

This is a really great poem. The emotion is actually overwhelming it is so strong.
It is full of imagery and similes and has a wonderful flow to it!
The run-on-lines bring something extra to the poem that I really really enjoyed.
My favourite images are the ones of the leaves.
"You sit in the shadow of falling leaves"
    and
    "like pink silk leaves"

I have to admit that the first thing I did was hide the background - it was brutal! I would consider toning it down a touch so that your poem can really stand on its own.

Also, the inconsistency with the punctuation and capitalization was a little troubling to my English major editing complex. I found myself wondering if you'd done this on purpose?

But all in all, the poem itself is very nice. There seems to be a bit of sadness woven into each stanza and yet hope breathes in the last.

Nicely done. Thank you for your entry and good luck in the contest!
